Day & Evening Tours
Depart from the Pier 41 Marine Terminal. Call 415.434.8687 to arrange your complimentary hotel pickup.
Cable Car Tours
Depart from Pier 39 and Pier 41 at Fisherman's Wharf.
San Francisco Ticket Locations
You may reserve online , purchase tickets at San Francisco Sightseeing offices located at Pier 41 and Pier 39 or make reservations with your hotel Concierge, Gift Shop, Front Desk or Bell Desk.
Complimentary Pick Up and Return Shuttle
We offer free shuttle service from centrally located San Francisco hotels and motels. Please contact your hotel agent or call San Francisco Sightseeing at (415) 434-8687to request transportation. You will receive a confirmed pick-up time. Please be punctual.
At the conclusion of the tour, the driver will return passengers to their point of departure or to Fisherman's Wharf.
Please note: There is no hotel pick-up for Motorized Cable Car, Hop-on, Hop-offand Muir Woods tours. However we offer a complimentary shuttle from Fisherman's Wharf to the hotels in the afternoon.
Courtesy at Tour Stops
During your tour, please check your watch at each stop and return to the bus promptly at the time advised to you by your driver. The tour bus must stay on schedule at all times and we do not want to leave without you!
Please note:In planning your day, please add approximately one hour to the total tour times noted in our brochure for hotel pick-up and return.
For day tours, casual, comfortable clothes and walking shoes are advised. For evening tours, warm clothing is suggested.San Francisco is famous for its changeable weather, fog and cool summers. It's always a good idea to travel with a sweater or jacket.
San Francisco Sightseeing accepts cash, Traveler's Checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Some tours are subject to cancellation fees. Please check with your reservation agent. All tours require a minimum number of passengers to operate. You will be notified prior to departure time if cancellation is necessary.
Cancellations & Refunds
All tours require a minimum number of passengers to operate. You will be notified prior to departure time if cancellation is necessary and you will receive a full refund. During the winter season (11/1-5/1) some tours may be cancelled due to insufficient bookings. Please call at least 24 hours before travel in order to confirm your tour.
You may cancel your reservation with full refund 72 hours before the tour. Refund requests must be in writing and received within 30 days of tour date. Cancellations from 72 hours to 24 hours prior to departure date will be charged an administration fee of $25 per ticket.
Tours canceled less than 24 hours of tour date and "no-shows" on the day of the tour will not be refunded. Please check your confirmation clearly to ensure you have the correct date you wish to conduct the tour

Please be sure to check for personal items before exiting any vehicle. Should you leave something behind, please contact our office. While San Francisco Sightseeing is not responsible for any items left on our vehicles, our drivers do return any found items to our office.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Hop-on Hop-off tour work?
The Hop-on Hop-off tours run in two continuous loops throughout the city starting at 9:00am at Fisherman's Wharf. Your ticket gives you 48 hours of full Hop-on Hop-off privileges and you can join the tours at any one of 17 stops. Additionally, our Grand City Tour includes a 20-hour Hop-on Hop-off pass
What is the difference between a Hop-on Hop-off and the Grand CityTour?
Hop-on Hop-off tours are restricted to circling only a small area of San Francisco throughout the day. The 3.5 hour Grand City tour shows you much more of San Francisco and includes a 24-hour Hop-on Hop-off pass.
Do you have restrooms on the bus?
Our motor coaches, used on longer tours, have lavatories. The double decker buses used on the city and Hop-on Hop-off tours do not.
Do we remain on the bus for the Grand City tour?
We make photo stops while remaining on the bus about every 10 minutes at key locations. Stops can range from five- minute photo stops to 20 minutes at the Golden GateBridge. Other stops may include: Twin Peaks, Golden GatePark, City Hall/Civic Center and San Francisco's stately Victorian architectural delights – the "Painted Ladies".
Can I display my voucher on my mobile phone?
We don't have this capability yet, but will soon.
What if I don't have my voucher/ticket?
You must have a ticket to board the bus. You can reprint your ticket from the website or call our office to make arrangements for a duplicate, provided you have the credit card that was used for the transaction.
Can I purchase tickets from the driver?
You may purchase tickets from the driver for the Hop-on, Hop-off tours only. All other tours must be booked in advance.
Does my ticket guarantee me a seat on the tour?
Our tours are "first come, first served." If you arrive too late for a seat, your reservation will be good for the next departing tour.
Do you return me to my hotel?
We pick up from most centrally located hotels and motels and return you to your point of departure for most of our tours. For Muir Woods, we provide a complimentary shuttle back to hotels in the afternoon. You can schedule your pick-up by identifying your hotel when you register for the tour or by calling Call 415.434.8687 to arrange pick-up.
